21 Fun in the Sun Doggos for Pre-Summer Smiles

Summer isn't here just yet, but she's coming…

There's something about that blazing sun shining that brings smiles alongside it. You might live in a state that's still experiencing the last drops of winter, where you're still wearing sweaters, jackets, boots, and scarves, but not for long. You might even have what they call, "April showers," right now. Or you might be living somewhere were the sun is already making you sweat at early morning hours, where the air is holding onto its humidity, and where you feel like you're grieving the absence of spring. Regardless of location, summer will come whether we like it or not. Bathing suits at the beach, evening dates in blistering heat, and running our AC bills to their peak will be imminent.

Summer has a way of softening dogs, and dogs have a way of softening people. The sunlight makes a bright halation on the wall and your doggo shines brightly in the sun. The longer days and warmer air makes your dog feel free; he wants to run more, to jump more, and to love more. Even everyday routines feel brighter. A simple walk becomes something to look forward to. Food tastes better when eaten outside. Music seems to carry further in warm air. These little shifts add up, creating a backdrop where smiles come more easily, without needing a specific reason.

I'm not the biggest fan of summer, but there's no denying the excitement of going to the beach for the first time in the season, or seeing doggos run around in the sun with a big smile on their face.
